Overview

This section demonstrates how I apply James Paul Gee's research to design systems. Gee is a leading scholar in learning theory and game-based learning. Gee’s concepts of semiotic domains, just-in-time learning, on-demand learning, in the flow of work learning, motivation design, and flow calibration guide how I build out micro-symbol systems that support optimal learning.

Gamification Badges

These badges were collectable and corresponded with bingo cards. Learners used the badges to fill in a BINGO and they won an opportunity to shadow sales executives on client calls.

Branded Programming

Internal program branding helps communication campaigns cut through the noise. The same advertising techniques that work externally work internally. Polished content increases buy-in and engagement.

Multimodal

Visualizing key concepts reinforces content by catering to diverse learning styles. This approach reduces cognitive load, allowing learners to process and retain information more efficiently. These crucial concept-based illustrations serve as consistent guideposts throughout the curriculum, effectively orienting and supporting varied learners while boosting overall comprehension and long-term retention.
