Project Overview
Co+Lab is a proposed entrepreneurial co-op designed to serve underrepresented, nontraditional, and freelance workers. The concept blends physical space, shared tools, and collective services to offer structure and visibility to people typically excluded from traditional systems. The project culminated in a system prototype supported by visual storytelling assets created with AI tools.
Community Research &
Competition Analysis
We began with qualitative interviews across four user profiles: freelancers, co-working members, unemployed creatives, and nonprofit stakeholders. These uncovered a clear desire for peer community, shared services, and infrastructure that bridges gaps in professional support.
In the competitive landscape, we mapped the absence of collective, nontraditional options in workspace ecosystems—identifying a market gap between traditional firms and isolated freelancers. This validated the need for a cooperative model with built-in equity and support.
Final Outcome
We delivered two prototypes:

A Figma-based interaction model showing key flows for booking and space management

A video prototype leveraging generative media tools (Midjourney, Firefly, Runway, Udio, ElevenLabs, and After Effects) to pitch the vision and convey user experience
